Good communication is essential to your treatment and recovery. The word "plastic" is from the Greek word "plastikos" and means molding or giving form. It does not refer to synthetic materials that are sometimes used. Plastic surgery is a specialty that encompasses both reconstructive surgery and aesthetic surgery popularly referred to as "Cosmetic Surgery". Reconstructive surgery restores or improves physical function and minimizes disfigurement from accident, disease or birth defects. While not essential to physical health, aethetic surgery can make a significant contribution to the quality of life by improving the appearance of normal body features and enhancing self image.

Appointments are required for follow-up visits as well as new consultations to enable us to allot appropriate time for each visit. Occasionally, you may experience unavoidable delays because of emergency surgery. However, we will contact you if a significant delay occurs on the day of your appointment. Please notify our office of any change in your current address or phone number.
When you call for an appointment, the information you give, will enable us to schedule you more efficiently. Very acute problems will be given priority in appointment dates. If there is reason to cancel your appointment, please notify the office at least 24 hours in advance.
