Our chemical peels are gentle yet effective. We offer several formulas to meet the needs of each patient including alpha-hydroxy acid, glycolic acid and the popular Obagi blue peel. These treatments are designed to remove the outermost layers of damaged skin to reveal a brighter and more youthful complexion.
If your skin is showing any of the following conditions, you can benefit from one of our chemical peels:
- Rough or dry skin
- Dull complexion
- Uneven skin texture
- Mild sun damage
- Blemishes and fine lines
Every person's skin presents slightly different considerations, so different chemical peels can be designed for your unique needs.
Your Chemical Peel Procedure: What to Expect
Many chemical peels can be completed in 20 minutes or less. First, your skin is cleansed. Then the peel is evenly applied to your face and if necessary, to your neck and chest as well. With a light chemical peel, several sessions may be required to achieve a satisfactory result. Ask about our home skin care regimens to optimize your results in between each treatment session.
What to Expect When Your Peel is Finished
You may experience some short-term skin flaking, redness and dryness after a chemical peel, but these effects will vary depending on the strength of your treatment. With light peels, you can resume normal activities right away and the skin will heal in a relatively short time. We strongly recommend that you use sun protection as you heal from your chemical peel.
