A mini-facelift can correct mild or moderate signs of aging on your lower face. Like a traditional facelift, this technique addresses cosmetic problems such as:
- drooping facial tissues
- facial creases / folds
- loose neck or facial skin
The mini lift is great for younger patients (in their 30s or 40s) who show signs of aging but do not need a full facelift. With limited incisions and possibly the use of an endoscope, Dr. Kluska can perform the mini-facelift to address signs of aging that are mild or moderate in progression.
How The Mini-Facelift is Performed
A mini-facelift requires about 2 hours under local anesthesia. Using limited incisions near the ears or beneath the chin, Dr. Kluska performs a partial dissection of the skin and facial tissues. Skin is trimmed and lifted, fat is suctioned or removed, and underlying tissues are tightened.
What to Expect After Your Mini-Facelift
Recovery time will be shorter with the mini-facelift than with a traditional facelift. Nonetheless, you should expect about 1 to 2 weeks of downtime. After surgery, you will be sent home wrapped in a loose bandage designed to minimize swelling. Some numbness, bruising and puffiness is normal during recovery. Keeping your head elevated will help minimize these effects. Email us today to learn more!
